North Star Marine Supplies, like so many other boating enterprises, is a family run company. While wives, girlfriends, and friends (thanks guys!) chip in here and there, we are, for the most part, a father and son operation. We are passionate Dave and Dave (Owners)boaters and we run this company part time. We're doing this (in this order) for the love of boating, as a hobby, and finally, for a little bit of extra disposable income. This means if you have a question about one of our products you will get our honest, knowledgable, unscripted advice. If you have a concern with one of our products, just email us with the problem. You can be guaranteed we will take care of any questions, comments, and concerns in a personal manner that has become foreign to most of us in this big corporate-world.

Some Background On Our Company

We officially started business in 2003 when we started offering our own North Star Bruce style anchor which we sold primarily through eBay. Around this time a great divide was created in the anchoring world: there were companies offering quality anchors at outrageous prices and companies with low quality anchors at low prices. Thanks in large part to the internet (goodbye overhead!), we decided we could do something boaters haven’t been accustomed to: offer quality products at low prices.

Like all good entrepreneurs, we’ve grown our business during this time and we now offer nearly all style of boat anchors and all anchoring accessories.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple:

To produce the best quality anchoring products in the World and to offer these products at the lowest possible prices.

By offering our products exclusively through the internet and without the cooperation of a third party distributor, we are able to keep our prices low while being able to devote these cost savings to a superior product.

Most of the boating websites that you will see on the internet do not actually physically carry their merchandise. They simply "drop ship" via a third party and never touch your item. We custom manufacture nearly all of our items and keep all of our items in stock in our warehouse. This eliminates even more "middle man" costs and more importantly allows us to give you the individual support you deserve.

The internet is a powerful tool and it should be able to offer a shopping experience superior to that of traditional brick and mortar stores. We're committed to bringing you the perfect online shopping experience in a number of ways:

  • We include detailed descriptions and photos on all of our products so you know exactly what you are getting when you place an order with us. If you need more information on a product, please ask us! We'll respond to most emails within 24 hours.
  • We carry all of our products in stock (unless other wise noted) and ship all orders within 1-2 business days. Our items are professionally packaged to ensure they will arrive to you in perfect condition. You can expect to receive your order within 10 business days depending on where you are on the continent (remember, we ship from the Pacific Northwest).
