| Anchor size selection guide |
The following tables provide you with a reference for the minimum sized anchor required for a specified size of boat. The recommendations are based solely on the length of your boat which has some limitations. Overall, however, length works as a good reference point. These calculations assume an average boat anchoring in average conditions. If either of these are not average, i.e. unusually high displacement or frequently anchoring in gale forced winds, select the next sized anchor up.
